Learning That Feels Like Fun
At Little Bees, learning is rooted in the Early Years Foundaton Stage (EYFS) and delivered through meaningful play experiences. While the children feel they are just "having fun," they are actually developing essential early skills that support their growth and readiness for future learning.
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Our environment encourages children to:
- Build relationships with adults and peers
- Learn to share, take turns and explore independently
- Feel secure, valued and confident within a school setting
- Cosy spaces and familiar routines help children settle and develop a strong sense of belonging
Communication and Language
Our children are becoming familiar with our daily routines, including:
- Listening to and joining in with nursery rhymes and songs
- Sitting together on the carpet for short, engaging learning moments
- Singing songs about numbers, colours and letters
Physical Development
We support both fine and gross motor development through a variety of hands-on activities:
- Playdough to strengthen little hands and fingers
- Drawing, mark-making and puzzles to support hand-eye coordination
- Outdoor climbing, balancing and movement activities to build strength and confidence
